Getting There

• Bus

  From Slidell, head to the nearest bus stop for the St. Tammany Transit. Take the Route 90 bus towards New Orleans. This route will take you directly into the city. Make sure to check the schedule for bus times. Once you arrive at the Canal Street stop in New Orleans, disembark and walk towards Canal Street. The Vue Orleans Observation Deck is located at 2 Canal St, just a short walk from the bus stop.

• Train

  Make your way to the Slidell Amtrak station. Board the City of New Orleans train heading towards New Orleans. The journey takes about an hour. Once you arrive at the New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, exit the station and head towards Canal Street. You can either walk (about a 15-20 minute walk) or take a streetcar from the nearby stop to Canal Street. The Vue Orleans Observation Deck is located at 2 Canal St.

• Bicycle

  If you're up for some exercise, consider renting a bicycle in Slidell. Head towards the Tammany Trace, a scenic bike path, and follow it until you reach the end point in Covington. From there, you can use the roadways to navigate into New Orleans. Once you reach Canal Street, park your bike and walk to 2 Canal St to reach the Vue Orleans Observation Deck. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules.

• Walking

  If you are already in the downtown area of Slidell, you can choose to walk to the nearest bus or train station and take public transport to New Orleans. However, if you are feeling adventurous, you can walk along the scenic bayou paths until you reach the nearest public transport stop to catch a bus or train that will take you into the city. Once in New Orleans, walk towards Canal Street, where the Vue Orleans Observation Deck is located.
