    From any location in Slidell, head towards the Slidell Amtrak Station located at 100 Robert Blvd. It's about a 20-minute walk from the center of Slidell. Once at the Amtrak Station, take the train towards New Orleans. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. After arriving at the New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, exit the station and head towards Canal Street. Walk towards the Mississippi River, then turn left on Canal Street and proceed to the Riverwalk area. From there, you can take the streetcar or walk to Decatur Street. Once on Decatur Street, continue walking until you reach Washington Artillery Park at 768 Decatur St.

    Start at the nearest bus stop in Slidell. Take the Jefferson Transit bus route 2 towards New Orleans, which will take you directly to the city. Disembark at the stop closest to Canal Street. From there, walk towards the Mississippi River and follow Canal Street until you reach Decatur Street.
