Walking
From the center of Vianden, head south on Rue de la Gare toward Rue des Bains. Continue straight until you reach the main intersection at Place du Marché. Here, turn left onto Rue de la Poste and follow it until you reach the junction with Rue de la Tour. Turn right onto Rue de la Tour and continue straight. You will cross over the river. After crossing, take the first left onto Rue de l'Église. Continue along this road, which will lead you directly to the Basilica of Saint Willibrord in Echternach. The walk is approximately 45 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way.

From the central bus station in Vianden, look for bus line 570 towards Echternach. The bus departs roughly every hour. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride of about 30 minutes. Disembark at the Echternach stop, which is the main bus station in the town. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk: head south on Rue de la Libération, then turn left onto Rue de la Basilique. Follow this road straight until you reach the Basilica of Saint Willibrord.
