If you are traveling by car from the nearest city, Toliara, take the RN7 road towards the south. Continue for approximately 220 kilometers (about 4 hours) until you reach the junction at Sakaraha. Turn left onto the RN12 and follow the signs for Isalo National Park. After about 60 kilometers, you will arrive at the park entrance near Sakamalio. Make sure to have cash available, as there is an entrance fee to the park.

To reach Isalo National Park using public transport, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Toliara to Sakaraha. The journey takes about 3 to 4 hours. Once in Sakaraha, you can catch another taxi-brousse heading towards the park entrance. Confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at the Isalo National Park entrance. The total cost for the taxi-brousse rides will be around 20,000 Ariary (approximately $5 USD). Ensure you check the schedules, as they may vary.
