If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Ankarafantsika National Park. Follow the main road towards the Anjohibe area, which is approximately 20 kilometers from the park entrance. Keep an eye out for directional signs leading to Cascade de Mahafanina. Once you reach the coordinates CVFC+83V, Anjohibe, you will find a small parking area near the cascade. Ensure your vehicle is parked safely as the road can be narrow in some sections.

To reach Cascade de Mahafanina using public transportation, you can take a taxi-brousse (shared taxi) from the nearest town, which is Ampijoroa. From Ampijoroa, board a taxi-brousse heading towards Anjohibe. Inform the driver you are going to Cascade de Mahafanina. The fare is typically around 5,000 AR (Ariary) for the trip. Once you arrive in Anjohibe, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the cascade. Follow the local signs or ask locals for directions to ensure you reach the exact location (CVFC+83V).

After arriving in Anjohibe by either car or taxi-brousse, you may need to walk the last stretch to Cascade de Mahafanina.
