Walking
If you are starting from the center of Antananarivo, head towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Walk along this main avenue until you reach the intersection with Rue de l'Université. Turn left onto Rue de l'Université. Continue walking until you reach the end of this street, which leads to the foot of the hill where the cathedral is located. You will see a sign for the staircase leading up to the cathedral. Ascend the staircase to reach the Viewpoint, which offers a stunning view of the city and the cathedral.

If you are near the Analakely Market, exit the market area and head towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Walk along this avenue and then take a right onto Rue de l'Université. Follow this street uphill, and you will find the staircase that leads up to the cathedral. The Viewpoint is at the top of the staircase, where you can enjoy breathtaking views.

From the Rova of Antananarivo (the Queen's Palace), exit the palace grounds and head down towards the main road, Boulevard de l'Indépendance. Turn left and walk towards Rue de l'Université. Once you reach Rue de l'Université, turn right and head uphill. The staircase to the cathedral will be on your left. Ascend the staircase to reach the Viewpoint where you can take in the panoramic views of the city.
