Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the capital of Atsimo-Andrefana, Toliara. Head south on Route Nationale 7 (RN7) towards the town of Anakao. Continue on RN7 for approximately 50 kilometers until you see signs for Andranopasy. Turn left onto the road marked Andranopasy Beach. Drive along this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the beach area. Be cautious, as some sections of the road may be unpaved.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a taxi-brousse (shared taxi) from Toliara to Anakao. The journey takes about 1-2 hours, and the fare typically ranges from 10,000 to 15,000 Ariary. Upon arrival in Anakao, you will need to hire a local taxi or take a bicycle taxi to Andranopasy Beach, which is about a 10-kilometer ride. Expect to pay around 5,000 to 10,000 Ariary for this transport.
Walking
If you're staying close to Andranopasy Beach, you can opt to walk to the beach from Anakao. The walk will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the main road south out of Anakao, keeping the coast on your left. The path is scenic and allows you to enjoy the local flora and fauna.
