If you are traveling by car from Toliara (Tulear), head north on the Route National 7 (RN7) for approximately 30 kilometers. Look for signs toward Ifaty, and take a right turn onto Route Ifaty. Continue on this road for about 25 kilometers until you reach the village of Ifaty. Once in Ifaty, follow the signs to Reserve Reniala, which is located at VJGC+V6R. Make sure to keep your GPS handy for precise navigation.
Public Transportation
To reach Reserve Reniala using public transportation, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Toliara to Ifaty. These usually leave from the main taxi-brousse station in Toliara and the journey takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arriving in Ifaty, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to Reserve Reniala located at VJGC+V6R. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride. Expect to pay around 10,000 to 20,000 Ariary for the taxi from Ifaty to the reserve.
Walking
If you are already in Ifaty and prefer to walk, Reserve Reniala is approximately 3 kilometers from the village center. Start at the main road in Ifaty and head south towards the coastline. Follow the signs toward the reserve. It should take about 30 to 40 minutes on foot. Ensure you have water and wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain may be uneven.
