Getting there

Walking

From the center of Toliara, head south on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards the intersection with Avenue Général de Gaulle. At the intersection, turn left onto Avenue Général de Gaulle. Continue straight until you reach the large roundabout. Take the second exit onto Route Nationale 9 (RN9) heading towards St Augustin. Keep walking along RN9 for approximately 8 km. Once you reach St Augustin, look for signs directing you towards Sarodrano cave. The cave is located near the coordinates FQM3+874, which you can find on your map. Follow local paths to reach the cave entrance.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Toliara. Start your journey heading south on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards Avenue Général de Gaulle. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route Nationale 9 (RN9) towards St Augustin. Continue cycling along the RN9 for approximately 8 km. As you approach St Augustin, keep an eye out for signs indicating Sarodrano cave. Use a GPS or map application to navigate to the coordinates FQM3+874. Once in the vicinity of the cave, you may need to park your bicycle and walk the last part to the cave.

Local Transport (Taxi-Brousse)

Find a taxi-brousse station in Toliara, most likely near the center of the city. Take a taxi-brousse heading towards St Augustin or any destination that passes St Augustin. Inform the driver that you want to get off at a point close to Sarodrano cave. Once you arrive in St Augustin, you can either walk or ask locals for directions to the cave, which is located near the coordinates FQM3+874. Local residents should be able to guide you the rest of the way.
