Car
From Betsiboka town, head southeast on Route Nationale 4 (RN4) towards the town of Maevatanana. After approximately 50 kilometers, keep an eye out for the turnoff leading to Betsioky, which is a dirt road branching off to the right. The coordinates for Betsioky are approximately -21.7031, 45.5561. Follow this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the base of the mountain. Note that the road may be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Parking is available at the trailhead.

Public Transportation
Take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Betsiboka to Maevatanana. The fare is generally around 4,000 Ariary ($1.00 USD). Once in Maevatanana, you will need to hire a local taxi or find a motorcycle taxi (known as 'pousse-pousse') to take you to the entrance of the road leading to Betsioky. This ride will cost approximately 10,000 Ariary ($2.50 USD) and takes about 30 minutes. Ensure to negotiate the price before starting your journey.

If you have arrived at the trailhead by car or taxi, you will need to hike the remaining distance to the summit of Betsioky. The hike is about 3 kilometers uphill and will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on your fitness level. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring plenty of water, as the trail can be steep and challenging. Follow the marked path, and be aware of the local wildlife and flora along the way.
