    Getting There

    Car

    From the center of Betsiboka, head northeast on Route Nationale 6 (RN6) towards the town of Ampasimanolotra. Continue driving for approximately 1.5 hours, covering around 100 kilometers. As you approach Ampasimanolotra, watch for signs directing you to Réserve spéciale d’Ankarana. Take a left turn at the fork in the road onto Route 43, which will lead you directly to the park entrance. Be prepared for some rough patches along the way, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Parking is available at the entrance, and the entry fee is approximately 10,000 MGA (Malagasy Ariary).

    Public Transportation

    From Betsiboka, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) to Ambanja. You can find the taxi-brousse station near the town center. The fare to Ambanja is around 15,000 MGA and the journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Ambanja, hire a local taxi or arrange for a private car to take you to Réserve spéciale d’Ankarana. This part of the journey may cost around 30,000 MGA and takes roughly 1 hour. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
