To reach Tsingy Rouge by car from Antananarivo (the capital of Madagascar), start your journey by taking the RN1 highway heading west. Continue on this road for approximately 150 km until you reach the town of Tsiroanomandidy. From Tsiroanomandidy, take the RN34 road south towards the town of Manandona. Drive for about 40 km until you reach the village of Behenjy. Here, take a left turn to head towards Tsingy Rouge, which is approximately 30 km away. The last stretch involves a dirt road, so be prepared for rough terrain. Keep an eye out for local signs and ask locals for directions if necessary. To use public transportation, start from Antananarivo and take a taxi-brousse (local shared minibus) to Tsiroanomandidy. The journey will take about 3-4 hours, and the fare is typically around 15,000 MGA (Malagasy Ariary). Once you arrive in Tsiroanomandidy, you will need to find another taxi-brousse heading to Manandona. After reaching Manandona, you can either hire a local taxi or take a bicycle taxi to reach Tsingy Rouge. The bike ride will take about 1 hour, and you can expect to pay around 5,000 MGA for this service. Depending on the time of day, be mindful of returning transportation options back to Tsiroanomandidy or Antananarivo.
