From Ihorombe, head south on Route Nationale 7 (RN7) towards the town of Ambalavao. This road is well-maintained and offers scenic views of the surrounding landscapes. The journey takes approximately 2 hours (around 100 km). Upon reaching Ambalavao, you will need to take a left turn towards Andringitra National Park. Follow the signs that indicate Andringitra National Park, which is about 30 km from Ambalavao. The road will become rougher, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. After approximately 1 hour on this road, you will arrive at the park entrance. Note that there is an entry fee for the national park, which is around 25,000 Ariary (about $7 USD).

From Ihorombe, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) heading to Ambalavao. These can be found at local stations and usually depart when full. The fare to Ambalavao is around 10,000 Ariary (about $3 USD). Once in Ambalavao, you can either hire a local taxi or find a taxi-brousse that goes towards Andringitra National Park. If you cannot find a direct taxi-brousse, you may need to negotiate with a local taxi driver to take you to the park entrance.
