Getting There

Car
From Ihorombe, head southwest on Route Nationale 7 (RN7) towards Fianarantsoa. Continue on RN7 for approximately 200 kilometers. When you reach the town of Fianarantsoa, look for signs directing you to Ranomafana National Park. Take the turnoff towards Ranomafana and follow the road for about 12 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the park. There may be a small entrance fee (around 55,000 MGA) per person to access the park.

Taxi-Brousse
If you prefer public transport, you can take a taxi-brousse (shared taxi) from Ihorombe to Fianarantsoa. The taxi-brousse station is located near the center of Ihorombe. The fare will typically cost around 20,000 MGA and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. Upon arrival in Fianarantsoa, you can either take another taxi-brousse towards Ranomafana or hire a private taxi for the remaining 12 kilometers to the park entrance.
