If you are traveling by car from Ihorombe, start your journey on Route Nationale 7 (RN7) heading southeast. Continue on RN7 for about 120 kilometers until you reach the town of Ambalavao. From there, take the exit towards Route Nationale 35 (RN35) heading east. Follow RN35 for approximately 50 kilometers. You will pass through several small villages. Once you arrive at the village of Anjoma, look for signs directing you to Tsingy Rouge, which is about 10 kilometers further northeast. The final stretch involves a dirt road; be cautious as it may be rough. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for this terrain. Look for the coordinates 12°38'08.49''S, 49°29'37.0''E for the exact location. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Tsingy Rouge via public transportation, first, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Ihorombe to Ambalavao. The journey should cost around 15,000 Ariary and take about 2-3 hours. From Ambalavao, you will need to change to another taxi-brousse heading towards Anjoma, which may cost an additional 5,000 Ariary. Upon reaching Anjoma, you can hire a local guide or arrange for a taxi to take you the final 10 kilometers to Tsingy Rouge. Be prepared for a rough dirt road, and the taxi fare may range from 10,000 to 20,000 Ariary depending on the vehicle and negotiation.
