Walking
From the center of Manakara, head south on Avenue de l'Indépendance. Keep walking straight until you reach the junction with Rue de la République. Turn left onto Rue de la République and continue walking. After about 500 meters, you will see a sign for Digue de Manakara on your right. Follow the path leading to the Digue, which runs alongside the coast.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the central market of Manakara. Head south on Avenue de l'Indépendance, and when you reach the intersection with Rue de la République, turn left. Continue straight until you see the Digue de Manakara sign. This route is approximately 2 kilometers and will take you about 10-15 minutes.
Local Transport (Taxi-Be)
To reach Digue de Manakara using a taxi-be (local shared taxi), find a taxi-be that is heading towards the coastal areas. Board the taxi-be and ask the driver to drop you off near Digue de Manakara. Provide the location details (V24G+P5, Manakara) to the driver. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
