Getting There

• Car

  From the center of Morondava, head south on Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight for about 5km until you reach the fork at the intersection. Take the left fork onto Route Nationale 35. Follow this road for approximately 10km. Look for signs directing you towards Kimony Beach. Turn right onto the unpaved road leading to Kimony Beach. The beach is located at P7WW+JR8, Morondava, and you will find parking available near the beach entrance. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for unpaved roads.

• Taxi

  If you prefer not to drive, you can hire a taxi from Morondava to Kimony Beach. The journey will take about 20 minutes and cost around 20,000 to 30,000 Ariary (approximately $5 to $8). Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kimony Beach, located at P7WW+JR8.

• Public Transportation (Tuk-Tuk)

  For a more local experience, you can take a tuk-tuk. Head to the main taxi-brousse station in Morondava and look for a tuk-tuk driver.   If you are staying close to Kimony Beach, you can take a scenic walk. Starting from the Morondava town center, walk south along Avenue de l'Indépendance, then follow Route Nationale 35. It’s about a 5km walk, so be prepared for approximately an hour of walking. Enjoy the views along the way, but ensure you have enough water and wear appropriate footwear.
