The reserve is located approximately 5 km from the village center, and the road may be unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

Take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Morondava to Kirindy Village. The ride typically costs around 20,000 Ar (approximately $5) and takes about 2 hours, depending on the number of stops. Once you arrive at Kirindy Village, you can either walk or hire a local guide or vehicle to take you the remaining 5 km to Réserve forestière de Kirindy. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
