From the Bar Harbor Visitor Center, head south on Main Street towards the intersection with West Street. Turn left onto West Street and follow it until you reach the Park Loop Road. Cross the road carefully and continue along the trailhead signs towards Precipice Trail. The trailhead is well-marked and located near the entrance to Acadia National Park.

If you have a bike, start at the Bar Harbor Town Pier. Head north on the Shore Path, which will take you along the coastline. When you reach the Park Loop Road, head east until you see the sign for Precipice Trail. You can park your bike at the designated area near the trailhead.

Take the Island Explorer Shuttle from the Bar Harbor Village Green. Board the shuttle heading towards Sand Beach and ask the driver to drop you off at the Precipice Trail stop. The shuttle runs seasonally, so check the schedule in advance. Once you get off, follow the short path leading to the trailhead.
