Walking
If you are starting from the Jordan Pond area, head west on the Jordan Pond Path until you reach the intersection with the Park Loop Road. Turn right onto the Park Loop Road, and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Echo Lake Road. Turn left onto Echo Lake Road and follow it for about 1.5 miles. You will see signs for Echo Lake Beach. The beach entrance will be on your right.

From Bar Harbor, take the carriage roads towards the Park Loop Road. Once you reach the Park Loop Road, head southwest until you come to the intersection with Echo Lake Road. Turn left onto Echo Lake Road and bike for approximately 1.5 miles. Keep an eye out for signage indicating Echo Lake Beach, which will be on your right.

If you are near the Bar Harbor area, you can take the Island Explorer Bus, which is a free service. Board the bus heading towards Southwest Harbor and request to get off at the Echo Lake stop. From the bus stop, it's a short walk down Echo Lake Road to reach the beach entrance.
