    If you are in downtown Augusta, start at the intersection of Water Street and State Street. Head north on Water Street until you reach the intersection with Eastern Avenue. Turn left onto Eastern Avenue and continue walking for about 1 mile. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way. After about 20 minutes, you will see signs for the Augusta Nature Education Center on your right. Continue walking until you reach the entrance.

    From downtown Augusta, locate the nearest bus stop on Water Street. Take the Kennebec Explorer bus route towards the Augusta Civic Center. Inform the bus driver that you would like to disembark at the stop closest to the Augusta Nature Education Center. Once you get off the bus, walk approximately 0.3 miles down the road to reach the entrance of the Nature Education Center.
