Getting There

• Walking

  Start from downtown Biddeford. Head east on Main Street toward Water Street. Continue on Water Street until you reach the Biddeford Pool area. From here, look for the path leading to the beach. Follow the beach south until you reach the Biddeford Pool. You will need to navigate around the water, so keep an eye on the shoreline and look for any walking paths. Once you reach the southern tip of Biddeford Pool, you should be able to see Goat Island Lighthouse across the water. If you have a kayak or canoe, you can rent one nearby for a closer view of the lighthouse.

• Biking

  Begin at the Biddeford City Hall and head toward the Eastern Trail. Take the trail southbound, which will lead you toward the coast. When you reach the Biddeford Pool area, look for a bike-friendly route that leads to the beach. Once you reach the beach, you can park your bike and walk along the shore to get a view of Goat Island Lighthouse. If you're feeling adventurous, consider taking a kayak or canoe to get closer to the lighthouse.

• Public Transport and Walking

  From Biddeford, take a local bus or train heading towards Kennebunkport. Disembark at the nearest stop to Kennebunkport and follow the signs toward the waterfront. Once you arrive at the waterfront, look for the paths leading to the beaches. Walk along the coastal paths until you reach the Biddeford Pool area. From there, you may need to rent a kayak or canoe to get a closer view of Goat Island Lighthouse.
