Walking
If you are starting from downtown Biddeford, head northeast on Main Street. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Alfred Street. Turn left onto Alfred Street and follow it as it becomes Saco Avenue. Keep walking straight for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the crossroads with Route 1 (also known as Portland Road). Turn right onto Route 1 and walk for about 0.7 miles. You will then approach the entrance to Higgins Beach on your left.
Public Transit
Begin at the Biddeford Transportation Center located at 1 Main Street. From there, take the Bus #19 towards Portland. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the stop at Pine Point Road. Get off and walk south on Pine Point Road for about 0.3 miles. Continue straight, keeping an eye out for signs directing you to Higgins Beach.
