Turn left onto Pleasant Street and follow it until you reach the Foreside Road intersection. Turn right onto Foreside Road. Continue walking for about 1.5 miles, enjoying the views of the water along the way. As you approach the Falmouth area, look for signs for Mackworth Island. Follow signs onto the causeway that connects the island to the mainland. Once you reach the island, you can explore its walking trails and natural beauty.

From downtown Brunswick, head to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of Maine Street and Park Row. Catch the Metro bus Route 7 towards Falmouth. The bus will take you along Route 1.
