Car
If you're driving from the town of Bar Harbor, take ME-3 East towards Trenton. After about 12 miles, merge onto US-1 North. Continue on US-1 for approximately 18 miles until you reach Sullivan. The Schoodic National Scenic Byway is located along US-1 in Sullivan, ME 04640. Look for signs indicating the scenic byway as you approach the area.

From Ellsworth, head southeast on US-1 for about 23 miles. You will pass through the charming town of Sullivan. Keep an eye out for signs for the Schoodic National Scenic Byway. The entrance is directly off US-1, which is a well-marked route.

If you are using public transportation, you can take a bus from Bangor to Ellsworth. Once in Ellsworth, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Schoodic National Scenic Byway, as there are no direct public transport options to Sullivan. If you are coming from Acadia National Park, take ME-3 West until you reach the junction with US-1. Turn left onto US-1 South and continue for about 15 miles. Look for signs for Sullivan and the Schoodic National Scenic Byway. The scenic byway begins at the intersection of US-1.
