From Kennebunkport, walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 35, near the intersection with Main Street. Take the York County Community Action bus heading towards Portland. You will need to transfer at the Saco Transportation Center to the Metro bus heading to Cape Elizabeth. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach Portland Head Light. The total travel time is approximately 1.5 hours.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Kennebunkport. Start your ride heading south on Route 35. Follow the route towards Cape Elizabeth, keeping an eye out for bike lanes. The ride is about 8 miles and should take you roughly 40-50 minutes. Once you reach Cape Elizabeth, follow signs towards the Portland Head Light, which is located in Fort Williams Park.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and enjoy long walks, you could walk from Kennebunkport to Cape Elizabeth. The distance is approximately 8 miles. Start at the center of Kennebunkport, head east on Route 35 towards Cape Elizabeth. It may take you about 2-3 hours to walk there. As you approach Cape Elizabeth, look for signs directing you to Fort Williams Park where the Portland Head Light is located.
