From the center of Rockland, head southeast on Main St toward Union St. Follow ME-17 S for approximately 10 miles, then merge onto ME-1 S. Continue on ME-1 S for about 15 miles until you reach Cape Elizabeth. Follow signs for Portland Head Light. Once in Fort Williams Park, follow the road to the lighthouse.

From Rockland, take the Downeast Transportation bus service to Portland. Once in Portland, transfer to the South Portland bus route. Get off at the Cape Elizabeth stop, then walk about 1 mile to Fort Williams Park where the Portland Head Light is located.

If you are starting from Camden, take ME-1 S for about 20 miles. When you reach Cape Elizabeth, follow signs for Fort Williams Park. The Portland Head Light will be within the park area.

From Bath, take US-1 S to Brunswick and then take ME-24 S toward Cape Elizabeth. Merge onto ME-77 S, and then take a right onto Shore Rd, which will lead you to Fort Williams Park and the Portland Head Light.
