Public Transit - Bus
From West End, walk to the nearest bus stop for the METRO bus service. You can catch the #1 bus towards 'South Portland' from the stop at the corner of Congress St. and State St. After approximately 20 minutes of travel, get off at the 'Fort Williams Park' stop. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Portland Head Light. Follow the signs into Fort Williams Park, and you'll find the lighthouse along the scenic coastline.

If you prefer to walk, head south from West End towards the waterfront. Take the pedestrian-friendly route along the Eastern Promenade, enjoying views of Casco Bay. Continue on the path until you reach the intersection with Shore Road. Turn left on Shore Road, and follow it until you reach Fort Williams Park. The walk will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, but it's a beautiful journey with plenty of scenic views.
