If you are starting from the Old Port area in downtown Portland, walk east on Fore Street until you reach India Street. From the Old Port, walk to the nearest bus stop at Congress St + Casco St. Take the METRO bus #1 (Blue Line) towards the East Deering area. Get off at the Eastern Promenade stop. From there, follow the path leading down to the waterfront, and you will find the Eastern Promenade Trail. The bus ride takes approximately 15 minutes.
