Public Transit - Bus
Start by heading to the nearest bus stop in downtown Portland. You can catch the METRO bus number 1 (Blue Line) towards 'South Portland'. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. After about 20 minutes, get off at the 'Cape Elizabeth - Shore Rd' stop. From there, walk approximately 15 minutes towards Shore Rd. You will cross a small bridge, and the Goddard Mansion will be on your right. Look for signs indicating the historical landmark.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in downtown Portland. Head south on the Eastern Promenade Trail, which will take you towards Cape Elizabeth. Continue biking along the waterfront, enjoying the views. The trail will lead you to Shore Rd. Once you reach Shore Rd, follow it for about 1 mile until you see Goddard Mansion on your left. Make sure to keep an eye out for the mansion as you approach.

If you're up for a long walk, start from the Old Port area in downtown Portland. Head south on Commercial St until you reach the intersection with Franklin St. Turn left and continue until you reach the intersection with Broadway. Turn right on Broadway and follow it until it turns into Shore Rd. Walk along Shore Rd for about 2 miles, and you will arrive at Goddard Mansion. The walk will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, and you’ll enjoy the charming neighborhoods along the way.
