    Start by heading to the nearest bus stop in downtown Portland. You can catch the METRO bus number 1 (Blue Line) towards 'South Portland'. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. After about 20 minutes, get off at the 'Cape Elizabeth - Shore Rd' stop. From there, walk approximately 15 minutes towards Shore Rd. You will cross a small bridge, and the Goddard Mansion will be on your right. Look for signs indicating the historical landmark.

    If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in downtown Portland. Head south on the Eastern Promenade Trail, which will take you towards Cape Elizabeth.
