From downtown Portland, head to the Casco Bay Lines ferry terminal located at 56 Commercial Street. You can take a short walk or a local bus to get there. Purchase a ticket for the Peaks Island ferry. Once on the ferry, enjoy the scenic ride across Casco Bay, which takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Disembark at the terminal on Peaks Island.

Upon arriving at Peaks Island, follow the signs to the southeast towards the Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse. Walk along the beach path towards the southern tip of the island. The walk is approximately 1 mile and will take about 20-30 minutes. As you walk, you'll enjoy beautiful views of the water and surrounding islands. Once you reach the end of the island, you will see the lighthouse directly ahead.

Alternatively, you can take a bus from downtown Portland to South Portland. Board the South Portland public bus (Metro Bus) at the nearest stop. You will need to transfer at the South Portland bus terminal to the bus route that goes to Fort Road. Once you reach the stop closest to 2 Fort Rd, South Portland, walk towards the shoreline to find the Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse. The total trip may take around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on bus schedules.
