From downtown Portland, walk to the nearest METRO bus stop. Board the #24 South Portland bus heading towards the South Portland Bus Terminal. Stay on the bus for approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the 'South Portland Bus Terminal' stop. From the bus terminal, transfer to the #21 bus towards 'Cushing'. After a few stops, disembark at 'Bunker Lane'. Walk down Bunker Lane for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at Fort Preble, located on your left.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Portland. Start from the downtown area and head towards the waterfront. Follow the East End Trail, which will lead you along the waterfront. Continue on the trail until you reach the bridge leading into South Portland. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Bunker Lane. Fort Preble will be on your right after about 1 mile.
