Public Transit
From downtown Saco, head east on Main Street towards Beach Street. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Saco train station. Take the Amtrak Downeaster train towards Portland, which takes approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive at the Portland station, exit the train and head towards the bus terminal. Take the Metro bus Route 1 towards Cape Elizabeth. This bus will take you directly to Fort Williams Park. The park is located at 1000 Shore Rd, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107. Biking
If you enjoy biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Saco. Start by heading east on Main Street, then take a left onto Beach Street. Continue straight until you reach the Eastern Trail, where you can follow the trail north towards Cape Elizabeth. The ride is approximately 6 miles and takes about 30-40 minutes. Follow the trail signs that will lead you to Shore Road. Once you reach Shore Road, take a right, and continue until you see the entrance to Fort Williams Park on your left.
