Car
If you are starting from Farmington, ME, head north on ME-4 N for about 15 miles. Continue straight onto ME-142 N and follow it for approximately 9 miles until you reach the intersection with ME-43 W. Turn left onto ME-43 W and drive for about 5 miles. You will see signs for Mt. Blue State Park. Follow the signs into the park and proceed to the parking area.
Public Transportation + Car
Take a bus from Portland, ME, to Farmington using Concord Coach Lines. Once you arrive in Farmington, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Mt. Blue. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes and should cost around $40-$50. Ask the driver to take you to Mt. Blue State Park.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the Mt. Blue State Park parking area, prepare for a hike to the summit. The trail is approximately 1.6 miles long and is mostly uphill with rocky terrain. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water. The hike typically takes around 1-2 hours to reach the top, depending on your fitness level.
