Car
Starting from Cape Maclear, head northwest on the D233 road. Continue straight for about 35 kilometers. You will pass through several small villages, so drive carefully and be mindful of pedestrians. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to Mua. The Bwanje Valley Dam will be on your right as you approach the area. There are no tolls along this route.
Public Transportation
From Cape Maclear, find a local minibus or taxi heading to Mua. The minibus stand is usually located near the main market. Make sure to confirm that the vehicle goes to Mua before boarding. The fare should be around 1,000 MWK (Malawian Kwacha). Once you arrive in Mua, you can take a taxi or walk to the Bwanje Valley Dam, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the village center. Expect to pay around 500 MWK for a short taxi ride.
