Car
If you are driving, start from Lilongwe, the capital city. Head south on the M1 road for about 30 km. Look for the signs directing you towards Kamuzu Dam. You will need to take a left turn onto the Kamuzu Dam Road, which is a well-maintained road. Continue on this road for about 10 km until you reach the entrance to Kamuzu Dam 1. There is usually no entry fee, but confirm upon arrival. Once at the dam, follow the road to the viewpoint, where you can park your vehicle.

To reach Kamuzu Dam 1 by public transport, take a minibus from Lilongwe to Sinyala. The minibus station is located near the city center. The fare is approximately 500 MWK. The journey takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive in Sinyala, ask locals for directions to Kamuzu Dam 1. It's about a 30-minute walk from where the minibus drops you off. Alternatively, you may find a local taxi to take you directly to the viewpoint for a small fee.
