As you approach Dedza, watch for road signs indicating Dedza Mountain. You will take a right turn onto a smaller road leading directly to the mountain. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel, as gas stations can be sparse, especially in rural areas.
Public Transportation (Minibus)
For those using public transportation, head to the Lilongwe main bus station and look for a minibus heading to Dedza. The fare is typically around 1,500 MWK. The journey will take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on the number of stops. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Dedza turn-off for the mountain. From there, you can either walk approximately 3 kilometers to the base of Dedza Mountain or hire a local taxi for around 2,000 MWK for a short ride.
