From Chinteche, head north on the M5 road. Continue driving for approximately 18 kilometers until you reach Dwangwa. Look for signs directing you towards Kataya Lodge. The lodge is located just off the main road, so keep an eye out for the entrance on your right. The journey should take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
Public Transport
To reach Kataya Lodge using public transportation, take a minibus from Chinteche to Dwangwa. The minibuses are usually stationed near the main market area in Chinteche. The fare is typically around 500 MWK (Malawian Kwacha). Inform the conductor that you are heading to Dwangwa. Once you arrive in Dwangwa, you can hire a taxi from the main taxi rank to take you directly to Kataya Lodge. The taxi ride should cost about 1,500 MWK.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Chinteche to Kataya Lodge. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; a typical cost would be around 10,000 MWK for this trip. Provide the driver with the lodge's address in Dwangwa, and they will take you directly there. This method is the most convenient, especially if you're traveling with luggage.
