Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the center of Chinteche, head out on the main road towards Mzuzu. Continue straight for about 30 kilometers until you reach Mzuzu. Once in Mzuzu, follow the signs towards the city center. After reaching the city center, turn onto Mapale Crescent. Umunthu Space & Lodge will be located on your left side. Look out for signage indicating the lodge.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Umunthu Space & Lodge via public transport, you can take a minibus from Chinteche to Mzuzu. The minibuses leave regularly from the Chinteche bus station. Upon arrival at the Mzuzu bus station, you can either walk or take a taxi to Mapale Crescent. If walking, head towards the city center, then turn onto Mapale Crescent, and walk until you see Umunthu Space & Lodge on your left. Make sure to have some Malawian Kwacha on hand for the minibus fare and any taxi services.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can arrange for a taxi from Chinteche to Umunthu Space & Lodge. This option is more expensive than public transport, usually costing around 15,000 to 20,000 Malawian Kwacha. The taxi will take you straight to the lodge without any transfers.
