From Chinteche, head south on the M5 road towards Mzuzu. After approximately 40 kilometers, turn left onto the M9 road. Continue on the M9 for about 20 kilometers. The entrance to Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve will be on your right side. Please ensure you have a valid entrance fee, which is approximately 5,000 MWK per person.

From Chinteche, take a minibus heading to Mzuzu. Once you reach Mzuzu, switch to a minibus or taxi heading towards Vwaza Marsh. Inform the driver of your destination, as some may not be familiar with the reserve. The fare from Mzuzu to Vwaza Marsh is around 1,000 MWK. Once you arrive at the entrance, you'll need to pay an entrance fee of about 5,000 MWK per person.
