If you are driving from the center of Dedza, head east on the M1 road. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will see signs for Dedza Mountain. Turn right onto the dirt road marked by the Dedza Mountain sign. Continue on this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the base of Dedza Mountain. Be cautious as the road can be uneven and may require a four-wheel drive vehicle.

To reach Dedza Mountain using public transportation, head to the Dedza bus station located in the center of town. Look for a minibus heading towards the Dedza Mountain area. The fare is typically around 500 MWK. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at the closest point to the mountain. From there, you may need to walk approximately 2 kilometers on the dirt path leading to the base of Dedza Mountain.
