Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Dzalanyama Forest Reserve. Head southwest on the main road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction at the town of Dzalanyama. Turn left at the junction and continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the area known as Unnamed Road. Serenity Garden is located at 3R87+VFR, Unnamed Road, Lilongwe. Follow the signs towards Lilongwe, and the garden will be on your left. Parking is available at the garden, but double-check any parking fees upon arrival.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Serenity Garden via public transport, you can take a minibus from Dzalanyama to Lilongwe. Buses depart regularly from the main bus station in Dzalanyama. The fare is typically around 1,500 MWK (Malawian Kwacha). Once you arrive in Lilongwe, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Unnamed Road. From there, it is about a 20-minute walk to Serenity Garden, located at 3R87+VFR. If you prefer not to walk, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) for a short ride to the garden, which should cost around 500 MWK.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Dzalanyama and ride to Serenity Garden. Start from the main entrance of Dzalanyama Forest Reserve, heading southwest on the main road. After around 10 kilometers, you will reach the junction at Dzalanyama, where you will turn left. Continue for approximately 5 kilometers until you see the signs for Serenity Garden. The bicycle ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your speed. Ensure you wear a helmet and stay safe on the roads.
