Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Area 12, head east towards Kenyatta Road. Walk down Kenyatta Road for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and local eateries along the way. Continue straight until you see the entrance to Lilongwe Wildlife Centre on your left, just past the intersection with the M1 highway.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can take a more scenic route. Start in the direction of Kenyatta Road as if walking. Once you reach Kenyatta Road, cycle east for approximately 1.5 kilometers. There are bike lanes along the road, making it safer. Upon reaching the wildlife center, you may lock your bike at the designated bike rack at the entrance.

  • Public Transport (Minibus)

    Find a nearby minibus stop in Area 12, and take a minibus heading towards the city center. Tell the conductor that you want to get off at Kenyatta Road. The fare is typically around 200 MWK. Once you disembark, walk back west for about 200 meters, and you'll find the entrance to Lilongwe Wildlife Centre on your right.

  • Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)

    You can also opt for a motorcycle taxi. Look for a Boda Boda driver nearby, and inform them that you want to go to Lilongwe Wildlife Centre. The ride should cost around 1,000 MWK and will take approximately 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting your journey.
