Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the City Centre area, head south towards the main road, and look for Kenyatta Road. You can use landmarks such as the Lilongwe City Mall as a reference point. From the mall, walk south along Kamuzu Procession Road until it intersects with Kenyatta Road. Once you reach Kenyatta Road, turn left and continue walking for approximately 500 meters. You will see the entrance to the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre on your right. The entire walk should take around 15-20 minutes.

  • Bicycle Rental

    For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the City Centre. Once you have your bike, head south towards Kenyatta Road as described above. Cycling will take less time, approximately 10-15 minutes. Remember to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.

    You can also take a minibus from City Centre to the nearest stop to Lilongwe Wildlife Centre. Head to the minibus station located near the City Mall and look for a minibus heading towards Area 10 or Lilongwe West. Ask the conductor to drop you off at Kenyatta Road (2QHM+5CV). Once you get off, walk about 5 minutes down Kenyatta Road, and you will reach the wildlife centre. The minibus fare usually costs around MK 500.
