Getting There

Car
From the center of Livingstonia, head southeast on the main road toward the M6 highway. Continue driving for about 12 kilometers until you reach the junction sign for Kapunga Mabuka Khonje. Turn left at the junction and follow the road for approximately 4 kilometers. You will see a sign for Luwogza Mountain. Drive until you reach the parking area, which is located at the base of the mountain.

Public Transportation
From Livingstonia, you can take a shared minibus (matola) heading towards Mzuzu. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Kapunga Mabuka Khonje junction. The fare is typically around 500 MWK. From the junction, you can either walk (about 4 kilometers) to the base of Luwogza Mountain or hire a local bike taxi (kondwani) for about 2000 MWK to take you directly to the parking area at the base.

Walking
If you prefer to walk from the Kapunga Mabuka Khonje junction, follow the dirt road leading straight to Luwogza Mountain. The trail is well-marked, and you will encounter some local farms along the way. It will take you approximately 1 hour to reach the base of the mountain on foot, depending on your pace.
