Car
If you are driving, start from the town of Mulanje. Head south on the A16 road, which is well-marked. After approximately 10 kilometers, take a left turn onto a gravel road marked for the Mulanje Mountain Conservation Area. Follow this road for about 7 kilometers, keeping an eye out for signs directing you to Chambe Hut. The road may get rough in places, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Once you reach the entrance of the conservation area, you may need to pay a small entry fee, typically around 1,000 MWK per person.

Public Transportation
From the town center of Mulanje, you can catch a minibus heading towards Mulanje Mountain. These minibuses frequently depart from the main market area. Inform the driver that you intend to visit Chambe Hut. The fare should be around 500 MWK per person. The minibus will drop you off at the entrance to the Mulanje Mountain Conservation Area. From there, you will need to walk approximately 7 kilometers along the gravel road to Chambe Hut. Be prepared for a moderately steep hike as you approach the hut.
