    If you are driving from Blantyre, take the A6 highway towards Mulanje. After approximately 60 kilometers, you will reach the town of Mulanje. From the town center, head towards the Mulanje Mountain Conservation Area entrance, located about 15 kilometers from the town. Follow the signs towards Mkaika, which will lead you to P8W2+7JC in Mkaika. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some roads may be bumpy.

  • Public Transportation (Minibus)

    From Blantyre, you can catch a minibus headed to Mulanje at the main bus station. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours and costs around 1,500 MWK. Once you arrive in Mulanje, take another minibus or a bicycle taxi to the Mulanje Mountain Conservation Area entrance, which is about 15 kilometers away. You may need to negotiate the fare for the bicycle taxi or wait for a minibus going in that direction.

  • Hiking

    If you are already within the Mulanje Massif area and wish to hike to the mountain's various attractions, it is recommended to start from the Mulanje Mountain Conservation Area entrance. Ensure you have a local guide, as trails can be tricky to navigate. It's advisable to hire a guide for about 10,000 MWK per day, which will also support the local economy. Follow the marked trails or ask your guide for directions to specific destinations like Sapitwa Peak or Lichenya Plateau.
