You will pass through rural areas with occasional signs directing you towards the Phalombe Napolo Memorial pillar. The pillar is located just off the main road on your right. Look for a small dirt path leading towards the memorial. There is no dedicated parking, but you can safely park along the side of the road.

    To reach the Phalombe Napolo Memorial pillar via public transportation, catch a minibus heading towards Mulanje from the main bus station in Phalombe. Inform the driver that you would like to stop at the Napolo Memorial pillar. The fare is typically around 300 MWK per person, and the journey will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance back along the S147 road to reach the memorial, as it is located just off the main roadway.
