Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards Mulanje from the nearest major city, Blantyre. Take the A6 road heading south. The journey is approximately 65 km and should take around 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you reach the town of Mulanje, look for signs directing you to the center. The exact location of infoMulanje is at PO Box 200, which is centrally located in Mulanje. Parking is available nearby.

• Public Transportation (Minibus)

  To reach Mulanje by minibus, go to the Blantyre bus station and look for minibuses heading to Mulanje. The fare is typically around MK 1,500 to MK 2,000 (Malawi Kwacha), and the trip should take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on stops. Once you arrive in Mulanje, disembark at the main bus station and walk towards the center of town. infoMulanje is located at PO Box 200, just a short walk from the bus station.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, renting a bicycle in Blantyre and cycling to Mulanje is an option. The route is scenic but moderately challenging due to some hilly areas. The distance is approximately 65 km and would take around 4 to 5 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, and be cautious of traffic along the A6 road. Once in Mulanje, head towards the center where infoMulanje is located at PO Box 200.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct and comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from Blantyre to Mulanje. This will cost significantly more, around MK 30,000 to MK 50,000 depending on negotiation.
