Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Tanah Rata, start by heading to the Tanah Rata bus station. From there, walk along the main road (Jalan Besar) towards Brinchang. You'll pass by several local shops and restaurants. Continue walking for approximately 2.5 kilometers until you reach the Brinchang town area. Once in Brinchang, look for Jalan Gunung Brincang which is a steep road leading up towards the highlands. Follow Jalan Gunung Brincang for about 1.5 kilometers. Be cautious as the road can be quite steep and the path is not always pedestrian-friendly. After walking up, you will arrive at the Iconic Cameron Sunrise Viewing Spot located at 1929, Jalan Gunung Brincang.

• Hiking

  For a more adventurous route, you can hike from Tanah Rata to the Iconic Cameron Sunrise Viewing Spot. Start at the Tanah Rata town center and take the trail that leads towards Brinchang. The hike will take you through the lush jungle and tea plantations. Follow the marked trails until you reach the main road (Jalan Besar) in Brinchang. Once on Jalan Besar, continue towards Brinchang and then take your left onto Jalan Gunung Brincang. The hike may take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace, and be sure to start early to catch the sunrise!

• Public Transport

  While public transport options are limited, you can take a local taxi or ride-hailing service (like Grab) from Tanah Rata to Brinchang. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of Jalan Gunung Brincang. From there, you will need to walk up the steep road for about 1.5 kilometers to reach the Iconic Cameron Sunrise Viewing Spot. Ensure you arrange your return ride in advance, as it may be difficult to find transportation late at night.
